The Baron and Inform 7 in the Escapist   4 comments

Rise of the Videogame Zinesters written by Anna Anthropy

The only thing that bothers me about this article is that the notion of using interactive fiction for an independent view is somehow new.

Maybe the title of the article should be Discovery of the Videogame Zinesters?

  1. I found it odd that they describe Graham Nelson as a poet.

  2. I’d say he’s more of a mathematician. He has published a book of poetry and is editor of a journal.

  3. And also that Inform 6 was impenetrable to non-programmers?

  4. I find the narrative in his IF works highly poetic. Too bad he’s been more busy at the authoring system than at authoring IF. :)

Inform 6 impenetrable to non-programmers?! Even then, much less so than other systems by using words like “has” to describe properties and so on. I7 is a natural evolution of I6.
